Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to have an event here?

Your cost is dependent on the date of your event, the number of guests, and menu and bar selections. Once you have these 3 items solidified, we can create a proposal with accurate fees for you.

What does it take to reserve a date for an event?

A non-refundable deposit will secure your date. Once you have reserved the date and space for your event, we no longer offer the event space and date to other interested parties. We may not be able to resell the space if your event is cancelled.

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

No outside food or beverage is permitted. Aside from providing your own wedding cake from a licensed baker only, Water’s Edge is the exclusive food and beverage caterer and no food and beverages may be supplied by another vendor. We may suggest one of our preferred bakers for you to interview.

Do I have to use your catering services?

Yes, we cannot book an event without the use of our in-house catering service even if it’s just light appetizers.

Can I have my ceremony and reception here?

Absolutely! Most brides chose to have both here.

What is included in wedding ceremony and reception fees?

Chairs for the ceremony, white floor-length linens, classic china and gold padded chairs are provided for the reception.

What if it rains and my ceremony is outside?

As long as space permits, we reserve a room for inclement weather. That way, your guests will not be seated where they are eating for the ceremony like most venues.  You will still enjoy the stunning views of the Bush River through the windows of the ballroom.

Is there a room rental fee?

Yes. In addition to your menu and bar selections, a room fee also applies. We can give you an accurate rate once we know your date and number of guests.

How many people can your venue hold?

We can host 400 guests in our Grand Ballroom without a dance floor.

Is gratuity included in the labor charge?

Water’s Edge charges a 20% (twenty percent) service charge that is applied to all food and beverage charges. It is used to pay salaries and wages. Any gratuity that the client chooses to offer is strictly voluntary.

Who provides the flowers or centerpieces?

Water’s Edge permits each client to provide their own florist or decorator; however unusual designs may be restricted or prohibited. We may suggest one of our associated designers for you to interview.

What uniform does the staff wear?

Water’s Edge staff is uniformed in all black, vested catering attire.  A more casual uniform is worn for casual events only with the client’s approval.

Can I bring my own linens or other rental items?

WEEC includes floor-length white linens and matching white napkins in all wedding packages.  Additionally, we are equipped with onsite, state-of-the-art Audio Visual equipment which allows us to offer the best AV enhancements to our clients at competitive pricing.  If additional linens, AV or other rental items are requested by the client, we may suggest one of our associated vendors whom have worked with Water’s Edge in the past and have provided exceptional service.  We do ask that each couple provides a list of all vendors for their day, and to inquire through our sales office to confirm that certain rental items are permitted.
